TIME-Summer holiday, a last week of July starting of holly srawan month of the hindu calender. Villagers organized Bhagwat puran katha(a story of 10 avtar of lord vishnu) in village’s temple and I also took a part in it as an audience .
Vyas ji said
“Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana,
Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostva Akarmani”
That means You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.
Suddenly, I remembered the story by my father during shraddha (Shraddha is an eternal Vedic rite of reverence and gratitude towards our ancestors)
During donation of essential material of poors I was confuse that how our donation can help for our dead ancestors.
When I lost my patience I asked, how it could happen?
My father began to laugh. And he started story
There was a Brahman (religious teacher) named santaptak in anterior time. which had been removed himself by sin on the penance. Who gain aatmagyan (Enlightenment) that this world is mortal and nothing is unmortal . he walking or travelled in forest without fear.
One day he was returned after bathing in a river and due to bad weather he forget his way and without attention of time he was continuously going on with ignore of time and way.
The time was mid night and the brahman was walking on the road without end. He reached in a dangerous part of the forest which full of sherb and wild tree.and full of the sound of wild animal like fox, tiger ,lion and wild bird or bets. He suddenly panicked and his concentrate was braked by that sound and first time he was feel fear.
Now he fell that he was forget your was and now he lost himself.he cannot decide that where is was and what he did. He started fast walking . he walked a little far away that he saw a dead body hanging upside down on the banyan tree, which was being eaten by five great monsters/demons.
There was only bone and skin with veins in the body of his Phantoms and their stomach was sunk in the back. And they were completely lost their feelings. Seeing that fierce view santaptak was become nervous and fell unconscious for some time.
Those phantoms saw that brahman in that deserted forest alone . they started fight with each other for eating live human and forget dad body for some time. They capture the brahman and started fly while they saw remain fat and food in dad body. They come back and tied the body to their feet and flew back.
Two phantoms were flying in the air with holding his hands and two with legs and fiveth holding his head. They fighting together for eating brahman and saying I eat first….I eat first….
During flying the brahman woke up and starting praying of good. To listeon his prey the good send his angel whose named Manibhadra to save brahmana. The angle of good Manibhadra was transformed in a danger great phantomm to fight them. He looked like a big mount-en. Manibhadra started generate a sound and falling saliva from his mouth to scare phantoms.
The phantoms and manibhadra started fight together. Manibhadra attecked on two phantoms by his hends and on two by foot and one by his head . the fight between manibhadra and all phantoms was looked like the fight of avengers .after the fight of one hourse manibhadra was succesfull to rescue of dad body but not brahmana and disapear
All phantoms was tired after a big fight he fall down sorround of brahmana ant they want to kill him. But a great light appear on forest and all phantoms were remembered his pre birth story by the light of truth of brahmana and good.
They all feeling scare and join your hand say sorry to brahmana . symaltaniousaly mouth of all phantom were transform in a deffrent mouth.
Brahman said to phantom , Who are you? And what your name what are you doing and how are you take this type of body. You scare me first and now why you chenged your bheviour for me.
The phantoms said, oh great brahmana listion carefully the answer of your questions. Goods forgive our sins after see you and your pray. Our memory of pre birth are coming and our named are Stale,Neemouth, Quick, Catastaltic and scriber respectively.
The brahman sad, Oh good hot it possible all phantoms name are without means. You all tell me the story of your name please.

Stale said, once I invite a brahman for treat to complete shraadha of my ancestor. Those person reached my house by late and I eat all those food without wait because of hunger. When the brahmana was come the I give him a stale food. After dad because of those sin I got a phantom body and my name is stale
Neemouth said, once a time a brahman wife went to bath near river with her five year son. I was a solder that time. I killed of her for money and her child who was thrusty and want to water but I ded not give him and drunk whole water himself. The child also dad by lack of water. By this sin my mouth like needle I can not eat or drink enough due to my mouth. And like my mouth my name is neemouth.
Quick said. O brahmana I was a reach businessman. I went out of country once with my friend for business propose.my friend had lot of money more then me. I had a greed in my mind.when my money was finished, we decide come back.one day on evening time We were travelling by a bot in a river. My friend was tired .he was sleep and his head was on my lap.due to my greed my mind was become very dirty and the time of sunset. I throw my friend Into water.anybody did not know of this accident. I captured any thing of my friend and returned my house.after come back I tolled my friend’s wife that the robbers was looted us and killed my friend. And I came with very difficulty.I give symmpathy to her and tolled please don’t yell.but she was shoked and died. I was very happy. I was came very quicklyafter killing my friend and due to this sinus I got a Phantom body with this name.
Catastaltic said I was born in a low cast family. I got right of ruling on Hundred village in a gift by king house.I had a younger brother and old parents. Due to my greed I desided to separated from my brother. My brother was vary sad due to lack of food and cloth But my father or mother giving him some thing behind me. When I found the troutth then I give him imprisonment.after some days my parents was died due to eat poison.after parents dath my brother was become sad and suffred by hunger and thrust after dad.due to imprisonment of own parents I got this phantom body and this name

scriber said I was I worshipper in Ujjen city. The king of Ujjen appointed me on the post of worshipper in a temple.that temple was full of gold statue and gems. I had a sin in my mind to say this gold so I stollen all gems by the help of knife which fixed in statue’s eye.the king was angry to saw statue without eye and allounced of dath for theep even he was a brahman also. I was scare after the allousement. I went to the palaceat the time of night and killed the king by ruthlessness. After killing of king I planed to leave the city with gold and gems. The way was wild. In a wild way I was killed by tiger. I as stolen gems by eye of good statue so I got a Phantom body with the name of scriber
Brahman said o phantoms your name as your story, now please tell me about your food and place which you staying.
Phantoms said o brahmana listion carefuly we can’t stay where, where Dharma(responsibility),mercy,shame,patience,awareness or education and cleanliness are stay. And we can stay reverse this where greed, atheist, dirt,ruthlessness are stay.and with those person who have all these demerit and eat the metabolite like parasite of related person. We also can ill like parasite of those person or family and affected person will suffered by verious untreated deseas like sputum cough , cancer , because we also eat phelgum, blood, stool, vomating and urine. The tears which arrive by sadness also our food so any person affected by us also be sad.
The phantoms said contineue……o brahmana we feeling shame during telling about us. We all are unwise,mentally retarded and scare.we don’t know about modesty or unmodesty. O brahmana now you can be indipandent us by this body .
Please pray again for us and doing sharaadha for us.
Brahmana who was very kind perason said ok I do and he pray for all to escape phantom body.
Story was ended. My father tolled me we can donation for our purvaja.because if they did bad work in his life the can removed by phantoms body. This food cant reached till their but the fath of poors or prey of these poors can be remove of dirty body and all sin of our and our family because karmas are main it is the medium of future and our result.
When I was came out my memorry, I was listening
“Nainam chindanti sastrani nainam dahati pavakah,
Na cainam kledayanty apo na sosayati marutah”
